Full time 37.5hpw, fixed term to 30th June 2019
The Financial Services Department of NHS Highland would like to recruit 3 Finance Assistants on fixed term contracts until 30th June 2019 (Leave Cover). These generic posts will cover one area of financial services but the post-holder must be willing to work in a flexible manner as they may be required to move between functions periodically, and provide cover to another section within the team at short notice. The responsibilities of this role can include paying invoices, processing patient travel claims, calculating re-imbursement levels, taking payments over the phone, scanning paper documents , retrieving documents and other office duties.
Candidates must be of a positive and friendly disposition with a pro-active approach to their job. You must be able to deal with suppliers and debtors, and also patients and adult social care clients, as well as a wide range of staff who work in many different functions and locations throughout NHS Highland.
Excellent communication skills and a helpful and supportive approach are essential to be successful in these positions, as is the ability to work quickly and accurately and as part of a team.
The postholder will require good academic skills and will need to learn quickly. The postholder will gain good experience of working in a busy accounting office and get a good grounding in office procedures.
