Applications are open now for the Gateway to Medicine programme for students interested in a career in Medicine.
Gateway to Medicine provides an accessible route into Medicine for students from ‘non-traditional’ backgrounds. The course ran for the first year in 2017 and all Gateway to Medicine students successfully progressed into year 1 of the MBChB degree programme.
The programme is jointly delivered by North East Scotland College and the University of Aberdeen. Key features of the programme are:
- small-group learning
- a dedicated G2M tutor who will support students throughout the course
- paid work experience
- bursary opportunities to support students

Applications are open on UCAS with a course code of A1A1. The deadline for submitting an application for 2019 entry is 15th of January 2019. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview.
