During the next few weeks, all pupils from S2 to S5 will be completing Course Planning for the next academic year. To support this process, there is a Course Planning Drop-In Session on Thursday 8th February from 4.30-7.00pm in Middle School and M6 for all pupils in S2-5 and their parents and carers. This session will be staffed by Senior Management, with input from Guidance and our Careers Advisor, Kevin Guthrie. Please feel free to drop in with any questions or concerns you may have about the process, how to make choices or the various options available.

Can you spare an hour this weekend? If so, sit by a window and count the birds that visit your garden. This important information can then be used by the RSPB so they know how bird populations are doing all over the country. Don’t worry if you don’t know types of birds, there is a pack to help you – just go to the RSPB website and follow the link to the Big Garden Birdwatch to register. Great to increase your knowledge for your NOW classes (if you’re S1!)

To mark Young Carers Awareness Day today (Thursday 25th January) pupils have been learning about what a Young Carer is during PSE all week. They have the opportunity to consider the different roles young people play supporting family at home and be able to let their Guidance Teacher know if they think they are a Young Carer.
