This years’ Libraries Week (8–13 October) has a theme of ‘wellbeing’. To celebrate this, the school library is hosting special lunchtime activities, all with a wellbeing theme.
Yesterday’s exotic fruit tasting session was a huge success. Pupils sampled a selection of exotic fruits and then had to guess which country they were from. They were then shown where the country is on a map of the world. It was a fun, educational but most of all healthy event and the pupils all really enjoyed the experience.
Our thanks to Highland Council Safer Routes to school for their support in helping to upgrade our pupil cycle storage. We are delighted that the new facilities are now complete and available for pupils to use. Pupils must please ensure that all cycles are securely stored in this area with a chain/padlock.
Expedition training takes place this Thursday 11th October from 6.30 – 8.30pm. Please meet in English. It is essential that all groups attend.
A huge thanks to all pupils and staff who took party in the walk last week. A great day with fab weather! Please note arrangements for handing in sponsor money (please note, forms do not need to be in until 2 November which gives pupils the holidays to collect sponsor money if required).
Pupils should sign in with their registration teacher and then bring money AND slip to middle school at registration time. There will be staff and S6 there to record sponsor donations. If you have lost your sponsor form/forget to bring it in, we must have money along with a note of pupil name and class. Pupils are asked to avoid handing money into reception during the day as this area is busy with no time to count money/record donations. Thank you.
